Intermediate Residential Program Outcomes

Each year Opportunities Unlimited works to improve our level of excellence in all we do and most importantly, improve the lives of those that we serve. With that in mind, each year, we survey our persons served, our staff and evaluate each department.

Residential Individuals Served Demographics

  • 32 individuals were served in the Residential program in 2020
  • 24 Male and 8 Female
  • 53% - TBI, 22% ABI; 12% ID; 13% CP
  • 12% aged 16-20, 22% aged 21-34, 66% aged 35+
  • Funding for services: Medicaid 93%, Work Comp 5%, Private Insurance 2%

According to the Brain Injury Association of America the risk of traumatic brain injury in men is twice the risk in women. Men between 15 and 25 are the group most likely to sustain a brain injury at any age. (www.biausa.org)

Residential Satisfaction Survey Results 2020

In 2020, 82% of OU's residential persons reported that they were satisfied or very satisfied living at OU (Footnote: Persons served indicated that they wished they were living at home or in a more independent setting if they responded other than satisfied).
